Adult No-Gi Jiu Jitsu
Our no-gi jiu jitsu in Bastrop runs six days a week with morning and evening classes. Beginners and experienced grapplers train in the same room, and the curriculum moves from fundamentals through advanced concepts.
“I have dropped in on 70+ gyms in my travel over the years. This is without question a top 5 spot.”
Danny M.
“The curriculum is well structured, everything from fundamentals to advanced techniques & concepts. The facilities are super clean and modern.”
Rachel R.
“After trying multiple jiu-jitsu gyms, I finally feel like I’ve found my home at Airlock. The coaches are not only highly skilled but also genuinely invested in your progress.”

Beginners and First-Time Students
Most people who walk through our door have never trained before. Every class is built to accommodate that, and your first class is free.
“Never had any kind of training before, took a lot for me to go and try it out. The team and the trainer took me in as one of their own right away.”
Jose C.
“Beginning to learn a martial art in your 40’s can be overwhelming, but the Airlock staff have made the training environment safe and welcoming. I quickly learned in my first few classes that this wasn’t a bunch of guys beating each other up, but a community of friends who care about your safety.”
Larry J.
“After only five months, the coaches gave me the tools, confidence, and encouragement to compete in my first tournament. If you’re thinking about trying jiu-jitsu but feel intimidated because you have no experience, I can’t recommend Airlock enough.”
Javier S.
Kids Jiu Jitsu
Our kids jiu jitsu program runs for ages 5 and up across two groups, Tiny Astronauts and Lil’ Astronauts. Coach Tyler leads the kids classes.
“Coach Tyler does an excellent job of teaching discipline and respect while creating an environment that’s firm but never intimidating. He knows how to push the kids to be their best while making them feel supported.”
Kristen R.
“I have seen my son go from someone who doesn’t listen very well to instruction, blossom into someone who is now helping others to learn.”
Morgann G.
“These kids aren’t just learning jiu jitsu. They’re learning patience, respect, honor, confidence and resilience.”
Elizabeth H.
Women’s Jiu Jitsu
We run a free women’s jiu jitsu class every Thursday, led by Coach Andrea Hixson. No membership required and no experience needed.
“I go to the women’s class on Thursdays and it has become my favorite day of the week. I was newer to no-gi jiu jitsu and the area a few months ago and was a bit nervous to walk in. Coach Andrea is so kind and welcoming the nerves didn’t last long at all.”
Isabella A.
“Andrea is WONDERFUL; an incredibly skilled and down to earth teacher. The community of women here are a blend of entirely welcoming and also channel all their strength and skill without holding back!”
Laura P.
“After just one class with no prior experience at all I was able to use some basic skills during our practice session at the end.”
Alyssa C.
Muay Thai and Striking
Our Muay Thai program runs three nights a week, led by Coach Mark Geiger. Loaner gear is available so you can try a class without buying anything.
“I attended the striking class, and for perspective, I’m completely novice. I was able to use gear I didn’t have like shin guards. I learned a lot in Mark’s striking class, mainly about technique and proper stance.”
Elias V.
“Since moving from Chicago eight months ago, we have searched the Austin area for high-quality Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai training for my son. After visiting numerous locations, we found that none compare to 10th Planet Airlock.”
Han Y.
